Everest believes in giving back to the society. We strive to give a better life, to the people living around our areas of operation. With this mission, Everest has established its CSR arm by the name of EVEREST FOUNDATION.
Everest Foundation is committed to enhancing livelihood and living conditions of communities.

Key Initiatives

Training and Skill Building

Enabling the development of latent skills can help build a “virtuous circle” - the quality and relevance of education and training, fuels innovation investment, technological change, enterprise development, economic diversification and competitiveness. Emerging economies can, in turn, leverage this synergy to accelerate the process of employment.

To build skill sets across our intended target groups - adolescents, women, and marginalized construction workers among others - the Everest Foundation initiated skill trainings in computers, sewing and structural fabrication & Installation of building products across various locations in order to directly benefit more than 7000 people, in which 2138 people trained in 2018-19.

In Partnership with NIIT Foundation, Everest Foundation has imparted computer skill training to 1090 people in 2018-19 while impacted 3215 people in last 5 years.

Everest Foundation partnered with NSDC to run sewing & embroidery center to impart skills to 150 women in 2018-19 and impact 397 women since 2015

In association with Construction Industry Development Council and Sattva, Everest Foundation trained 643 marginal construction workers through Building Master Training in 2018-19 and benefitted 1795 workers in the last 4 years

Health, Hygeine, and Sanitation

Public Healthcare in India is still in a state of flux. Rural areas continue to look for effective ways to make healthcare facilities available to vulnerable populations. To that end, between 2015-18, we initiated a Tobacco Control Program, a public sanitation program as well as an individual sanitation program. The foundation has also organized several blood donation camps.

Everest Foundation constructed 700 toilets through individual household sanitation program in partnership with Swades Foundation Conducted.

Partnered with Salaam Mumbai Foundation to make three blocks of Nasik Dindori,Niphad and Chandwad tobacco free.

Sports Promotion

More than 85 percent of school children in India have no access to sports due to a lack of adequate facilities. Less than 10 percent of the population under 35 years of age has access to organized sports. An equally small percentage of youth have access to playgrounds.

The Everest Foundation seeks to provide a platform to rural youth and children where they can demonstrate their sports capabilities, and acquire skills that can help them live a healthy and progressive life. To facilitate this, we organize various local and community-level sports events and training programs at our plant locations.

Children have benefitted directly from badminton tournaments in their local communities 201 children participated in the badminton tournaments from the local communities in 2018-19 taking the total participation of 4 years to 655

Environmental Sustainability and Community Building

Everest believes in maintaining green and sustainable environments and mitigating environmental challenges. To that end, we pursue the practice of planting saplings in various areas across our sites, and the lands allocated by the Forest Department.

Various activities have been organized to plant thousands of trees. Everest Foundation has organized multiple programs to address the main issues pertaining to the environment.

A drive for Sparrow conservation was done wherein 110 school children were trained in nest making and sensitized to conserve birds.

Thought Leadership Program in association with Ananta Aspen Speakers Series was organized at Mumbai in which approximately 500 people participated. Insights were shared by speakers like Dr. Anil Gupta (on China), Dr. Shashi Tharoor (on Indian politics), Dr. Brad Agle (on Ethics), Mr. Anshu Gupta (on Social impact) and Ambassador Talmiz Ahmad(on West Asia).

A sensitization activity, ‘Art in Park’ was done to protect our parks and retain the green environment in the city. The event was attended by around 1000 people.

Individual Social Responsibility

Every member of the Everest team is motivated, skilled and adds to the strength of the company. Their generosity allows them to willingly share their time and talent with others to build a better, stronger, and safer community.

Everest Foundation creates employee engagement opportunities for the workforce of EVEREST Industries Limited, its primary funding partner. We have created a system under which each employee contributes 1 man-hour in each quarter and 4 man hours in a year for community-driven initiatives. Around 4291 employees, contributed 7643 man hours in the last 5 years under ISR for community projects including sensitization drives, skill-center visits, sports activities, education projects and a lot more.

Everest employees contributed in the relief work for the flood affected families at Jammu & Kashmir and Chennai. They also contributed to rehabilitate the disrupted families in the Nepal Earthquake.

Everest employees donated over 30,330 kgs of non-perishable food items during food donation drives ‘Anna Daan’ organized across all business locations in the last 4 years which is used to provide more than 2 lakh meals.
